Nicole Ledoux is a conservator with two decades of experience working with art and cultural objects in private practice, museums, and field settings. She holds an MA from the UCLA/Getty Program in the Conservation of Cultural Heritage and a BA in anthropology from Harvard University. Prior to co-founding her current practice, she worked as a staff conservator at the Harvard Art Museums and ran an independent private practice, providing conservation services to individual and institutional clients throughout the Boston area. Her expertise spans ancient to modern materials, with recent research and publications focused on preservation strategies for plasticized PVC artworks and the technical study and treatment of an ancient Attic vessel. She is a peer-reviewed Professional Member of the American Institute for Conservation.
Ellen Promise is a conservator with over 20 years of experience in the cultural sector working in private practice, museums, and historic sites. She holds an MS from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation and a BA in art history from Boston University. Before co-founding her current business, she worked as a staff conservator at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Previous roles have allowed her to establish a deep network in the Boston area with expertise ranging from outdoor sculpture to organic indigenous objects. Recent presentations and research have focused on collaborating with contemporary artists and using laser technology to conserve cultural objects. She holds an elected leadership position with the Objects Specialty Group through the American Institute of Conservation and has also served on the board of the New England Conservation Association.
